I scored a couple of goals and my team won their pool! Freshman year has been a little unpredictable with the pandemic and our team is still undefeated but we did not play that many games. Eighth grade was an important year because by now I had started playing travel field hockey at a competitive level and I felt honored to be invited to the USA Field Hockey Festival as an 8th grader. We were undefeated for two years and won the Middle School Championship those two years. In Middle School, this is where it all changed and the game now became serious and teamwork started to get better. That was really cool and one of my cherished memories. ![]() My 6th grade year, my team won the 5th and 6th grade tournament through our recreation program where local teams compete throughout the day. In Fifth and Sixth Grades, I played on a larger field, with a goalie which made the game so much more exciting. In Second through Fourth Grades, I played actual games on a small field with my recreation teams. I started playing field hockey in Kindergarten by doing clinics on Saturday mornings.
